Achilles and the river styx

oil on canvas. 36” x 36”. 03/2019

$ 3,000

To shield her child from danger, Achilles’ mother dunked him in the river styx. However she did not immerse his ankle, which was his undoing. This modern version, with Hereda hanging from an airplane makes the fable that much more unusual.
